Biography

Mahendra Singh Dhoni, born on July 7, 1981, in Ranchi, Jharkhand, is one of India’s greatest cricket captains and wicketkeeper-batsmen. Known for his calm demeanor and sharp cricketing brain, Dhoni led India to major victories across all formats. He made his international debut in 2004 and quickly rose to prominence with his explosive batting. Under his leadership, India won the 2007 T20 World Cup, 2011 ODI World Cup, and 2013 Champions Trophy. A true finisher, he was admired for his strategic acumen and coolness under pressure. Dhoni retired from international cricket in 2020 but continues to lead Chennai Super Kings in the IPL.
